Oropesa del mar started life as a picturesque fishing village on the east coast of Spain approximately 80 kilometers north of the beautifully historic city of Valencia. Featuring 
The Tower of the King, a great monument of defensive character that possesses Oropesa, nowadays one of the last known Valencian military buildings. Its aesthetics presents an unique, Renaissance style among the military architecture of the XVI century.
